TOPIC: TASTY AS SALT
TEXT: MARK 9:49-50
KEY VERSE: Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man
COLOSSIANS 4:6

Bible is full of symbols. Notably, one of these interesting symbols mentioned in the Bible is salt, salt have been used as a symbol to represent several sacred eternal values and orders, like the covenant of salt, salted sacrifice amongst others.

Salt is so essential to human, let’s think of tasting any meal without salt? Or preparing a very good looking meal that will be begging for anyone to taste but without salt, who ever tastes it will not be comfortable with the experience.

The Lord expects us to guard our thoughts and the words, they must always be salted, this means they must be suiting and graceful to the hearer.
Just like the meal cooked without salt will not be appealing to the mouth, every conversation or activity carried out without virtue is not salted, your acts must add value to lives, like salt does not just improve the taste of what it’s put into but it has it’s health benefits, your service must be salted in that way you improve the spiritual health of the one who is in contact with you.

The question is as believer how are you salted in your conversation, your daily living is it seasoned with salt?
As a living sacrifice unto the Lord are you salted?

PRAY WITH ME

Dear Lord grant me grace to stay salted, as a living sacrifice may I be salted in Jesus name, amen.
