TOPIC: UNCONDITIONAL FOLLOWING
TEXT: Matthew 4:18-22
KEY VERSE: “And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him”
-Matthew 4:22

Brother Roland looked to have been doing well in the faith but he had this Sister he had been courting for marriage everyone believed they where meant for each other, during this period of courtship she’ll come around from her village to see him and they’ll be together and be involved immorality, but one day the word of the Lord was able to penetrate their hearts, they came to my house since I was their pastor then as they confessed to all that had been transpiring and they told me their intention to seperate until God will approve the relationship if they could actually be together as husband and wife, Roland was in tears Sis. Gina was in tears rolling all over the floor, they both loved themselves if it were possible they didn’t want separation but God had demanded it from them, the only option they had was separation.
After several years they’re today married to their respective spouse with beautiful kids and more importantly doing very well in the faith.

As we reflect today, God may have demanded serious dicisions from you, this dicisions may need to affect the whole of your being, like the the disciples, the Bible says they left their net, their occupation, their pleasure, what brought them joy and followed after Christ.

What is God telling you to leave, it might be giving you pleasure but but that’s actually God’s dicision for you to leave and follow after him.
Jesus is calling.

Lord Jesus I come to you for grace to follow you unconditionally, and let my will be lost in yours, amen.
